Author's Note

Despite the hopeful ending of "Monsters", the future finds Roman drowning in anger, guilt, grief, and alcohol. He's totally alone, and totally lost. Pulled between the past and the future, between longing and pride. It's a long and dark night, but maybe the way to get through it isn't just to wait for morning, but to find beauty in the stars.
