The Arena

Reder Hane just wants to return home to his wife and kids. He's almost there. The final fight is here but his partner for this fight, Ephes Wyne is untrained and undisciplined. It's his last fight and it seems it will rely on Reder.

This is only a 3000-word short story I submitted for competition over a year ago. I didn't win, but it went far. I've thought about turning it into a longer piece of writing, but the story ends in this scene, so that chance is low.
