16 year old Jordan Wilson is an African-American girl with dreams to become a photographer. When a dangerous sickness hits New York City, she is forced to evacuate to California in which 40 days, a plane will leave to Australia where it is safe. Along the way, she befriends Noah, a 4 year old boy all alone. Will Jordan and Noah make it California in time? And in one piece?
