Eddie Munson is known as the freak of Hawkins high. The player of D&D, a fan of heavy metal and not afraid to cause a scene, most people steer clear of him, especially the popular kids, unless they want to buy weed.

Kate Wallace is a popular cheerleader and best friends with Chrissy Cunningham. Even though she outwardly she seems like she belongs in her crowd, she grapples with the idea she is different and longs to be with someone she can't have.

When Chrissy is going through something and asks Kate to go with her into the woods to buy drugs from Eddie, the events that follow will show the secrets buried in Hawkins and take these two on a a ride that will bond them for life.
