The Decades War continues to ravage the land; humans and elves close in on the western territories as the ancestral peoples of the Old Country are decreasing in number at an alarming rate. Driven from their lands the Eagle-People are going extinct, while the Fairies hide beyond their waterfalls even as more bodies pile up. Unsurprisingly, the thunder of a rebellion grows in the west beyond the Athar Keep, where dragons lie in wait. A lost eaglet torn cruelly from her family must now travel beyond the Keep, the only shelter left for those like her. However, what she'll find over the Wall will change the tide of the war. A novel that explores childish hope in dire circumstances. Please read in the pages format and the cream/sepia colored pages settings, just for the sake of the experience and enjoying my illustrations as part of the page. I'd rate this 13/15+, like Rothfuss Kingkiller Chronicles (they depict similar themes), however I'm also not sure how serious the depictions might turn out, so I'll be changing the rating to mature. Trigger Warning: there will be violence, death, lots of sadness and tears, references and depictions of genocide, racism (albeit against fantasy races, but still), and such. It is a tough world to live in.
