After the events of Hedgehog Havoc, the Freedom Fighters and the rest of New Mobotropolis are still grieving over Y/n's death. However, they finally win their years long war after defeating Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.

Unfortunately, a new evil forces rises to take the place of the Eggman Empire. And with the help of a new foe, they become an increasingly worse enemy than Eggman ever was. However, this new enemy has a closer connection to the Freedom Fighters than anyone realizes.
