Cilas has faced many problems in life, siblings, fires, shootings, dead parents, IMPRISONED parents, and one he hasn't gotten over yet. EPImon, a hereditary disease slowly eating away every fiber of his being. Out of all of those struggles, money has never been one. News outlets were though, with their invasive questions and their persistence to find answers that don't exist. And now, on top of that, his sister is too busy to homeschool him, so now he has to go to the public school in Braden. Where he realizes that detailed files on every family member, and a library full of history books about his ancestors that portray them differently than the ones in his school's library, isn't normal, and that neither are his family's secret conversations with other families, or their hesitancy to include him in them.
