Emma watched as her dreams ebbed away. The only man she ever wanted, the one that she had saved herself for, was getting married to another woman. She watched, but everything seemed dreamlike, like an out of body experience. For her it was a living nightmare, with every passing second, she looked on as her world was falling to pieces. This was not how it was supposed to be, she thought, as by some miracle the tears stayed away. The part came where the pastor asked if anyone had a lawful reason to oppose the union...
