17-year-old Ocean Conrad is lonely and searching for love. Fortunately for her, her childhood crush, Mark Jennings moves back into town. Unfortunately, Mark is dating queen bee head-cheerleader, Heather Cage.

However, Mark has always crushed on Ocean, so he's willing to give a relationship between them a shot...although he can't seem to find a way to break up with Heather. Ocean doesn't mind seeing Mark on the downlow, despite how sketchy and problematic the entire situation is.

As Heather grows jealous of how friendly Mark and Ocean are, she learns that she may actually have a reason to be concerned.
