For Daisy Johnson, life's never been easy. That's why she's got her whole life planned - study hard, get into medicine, live the life her mother never could. But when James Hunter - the insufferable captain of the boys' soccer team - starts to play a larger, more annoying, part in her life (again, to her dismay), her plan begins looking a little different.
James is tall, tan and talented - and, annoyingly, is good at all the things she is. Whether this stems from their close relationship as kids - which she pretends wasn't a reality - or his blatant desire to antagonize her, she doesn't know.
