virus AU or something I guess? A deadly virus has spread across the boiling isles, only killing its victims in 3-4 days, causing them to suffer terrible coughs, stomach pains, headaches, and boils across the skin. Luz was lucky enough for Eda to find her before it had spread, but this means they have to stay at home, confined before a cure can be released. Just counting their luck, things go downhill quickly. Eda isn't able to get enough food for her, king, Luz and Hooty, so she has no choice but to send Luz to a special home as the virus passes. Once Luz arrives, she meets the people she would be staying with: Willow Park, a kind, strong, and caring girl, only wanting to help (or tease) the people she loves most, Augustus Porter, addicted when it comes to rambling about his illusions and interests, and one of the most talented (and technically only) illusionists Luz knows, and finally Amity Blight. A rather quite girl, to say the least. Pushing to become great at the work she gets assigned every week. She isn't exactly mean, nor rude, just there is more to her than meets the eye. I can't do good descriptions, so, book time. woo. in this book they have their current designs, but you will have to imagine what they look like aged up, since in this story they will be 15-17 years of age. Gus the youngest at 15, Willow and Luz at 16, and Amity the oldest at 17. Gus and Amity are around the same height at 5,6, Willow at 5,8 and Luz at 5,9. Amity and Willow will not have had past interactions, all characters are new to each other, but willow and Augustus are already introduced to each other at the start of the book. The Emperor is only mentioned a few times, and is not hunting Eda, nor executing the draining spell, and serves little purpose in this book. None of the art used is mine.
