Alice Sherbrooke spends her days as a college student and office assistant to her Shakespeare professor, Tom Hiddleston. The two share a bond and have grown close over the past four years. During her nights, she headlines a cabaret show that she likes to keep hidden from those around her. Alice has also kept hidden the attraction she has towards Tom, but when his fiancée takes him to a show in the city, he's shocked to find out that the leading star, Emile du Boux, is, in fact, Alice Sherbrooke. What will become of Alice now that Tom knows, and what will Alice do if she finds out Tom is aware of her secret profession?
