Pain was a normal feeling for Piper Lahote, but a feeling she could always rely on. Ever since her mother abandoned her and her younger brother, Paul, they had to live in constant fear of untamed abuse from their father. She was used to the abuse, as was Paul; however, their world changed after Paul turned. Piper was about to be thrown into a world of shape shifters and cold ones, but would she be able to handle it with her dreadful past? Would she be able to let them in and tear her walls down?
