Layla Harriss is still trying to pick up the crumbling pieces from her not-so-perfect high-school sweethearts relationship. She loves Ethan, she really does, but Ethan loves the Navy. Enter Brennan, police academy flunk out with enough mental illnesses for 10 people. Brennan, who has Dissociative Identity Disorder, is just now working to understand himself. When fate brings both of them to small town Minnesota, Layla and Brennan stumble together.
