Campbell, a 16-year-old living with her father after her parents divorced seven years ago, seems to play a vital role in something big that she doesn't know about.
Her mother is shot, and her father is arrested for it, leaving her alone with nothing but a rusty key that doesn't open anything. She goes to school and continues her life, but she carries a distrust in anybody she meets.
Campbell knows her father isn't guilty, but she can't do anything to prove it.
Until one day, a boy shows up on her doorstep with a letter.
Through a series of puzzles and riddles, Campbell discovers the true story behind her father and sees how she and the boy's lives are interlocked.
But she can't shake the feeling that he is hiding something...
