Chapter One*

After her Dad leaves her with her abusive mother, Scarlett Henry has no one to turn to. She dives into music and schoolwork to get her mind off of things, but it doesn't always help. Scarlett eventually finds that her only escape is a certain band, One Direction, which helps her cope with her every day life. One day Scarlett's mother moves them to a new town, and Scarlett must start at a new high school, halfway through the year. She is reluctant to go at first, but will going somewhere new actually be the best thing for her?
