Description
This is a rewrite of "I had no control over it." (8,504 words so far) After Y/n's invited on a camping trip with her ex and his friends, she realizes just how much someone can change in 14 years. The little boy you knew as sweet and timid is nowing hunting you and the group. After a turn of events, Y/n's stuck at the camp, forced to stay with a man she doesn't recognize. What she must figure out is: is it a blessing or a curse? Dead Reckoning: n. to find yourself bothered by someone's death more than you would have expected, as if you assumed they would always be part of the landscape, like a lighthouse you could pass by for years until the night it suddenly goes dark, leaving you with one less landmark to navigate by-still able to find your bearings, but feeling all that much more adrift.
