I had a plan; Go to college, have sex and years later become a doctor. Easy and simple, right? Yeah, well that was the idea until a family secret came out and flipped my whole world upside down. Fast forward to an accident and a kidney transplant later, I have no clue who I am or what I want anymore. That's when she came tumbling into my life; a red-headed stranger on the hospital's rooftop, she dragged me right off the edge, stopping me from jumping when I totally wasn't about to, thought my parents are homosexual and refused to tell me her name...I mean, isn't that how epic romance stories start? Yeah, but we have a big problem here; she is totally resistant to my charm. She dislikes me, doesn't trust me, and thinks of me like any other jock on campus. Her rejection and disinterest are filling me with the need to prove her wrong. A deal strikes; hours of tutoring sessions and gingerbread lattes are bound to show her who I really am. Her story, I want it. Her trust, I'll gain it. But as I do so, I must tread carefully, because like they say, too much ginger could cause a heartburn; and my heart, it definitely can't bear another ache.
