My name is Anna Henderson. I couldn't have been more invisible at Hawkins High School. I sat alone in the lunch room, did my homework, and went on with my life. Everything that was 'normal' in my life stayed that way, until Billy Hargrove moved into town and burst my personal space bubble. I had always had straight A's, I had never skipped a class in my life, and I always managed to avoid conflict for all 17 years of my life. Until this stuck-up, wannabe bad boy drove his blue Camaro straight into my heart and turned my life upside down. (no pun intended).

"Hey, princess, care for a ride? I'm sure I'll exceed your expectations," the boy said with a smirk, cigarette hanging from his mouth with smoke encircling his gorgeous features.

I rolled my eyes, though the experience of someone noticing me was new, responding, "No thanks, Romeo."

His smirk stayed on his face, looking down at the stickers on my book. "I think I'm more of a John Bender, actually," he said slyly, cocking an eyebrow.

I scoffed. He was using my likes against me. "Well, I'm no Miss-Popular-Princess Claire Standish," I stated casually, closing the door to my car, walking away slowly.

From his direction as I walked away I heard an exhale.

All I heard after that was, "Holy fuck."
