bittersweet /ˌbɪtəˈswiːt/ - arousing pleasure tinged with sadness or pain. ~ He takes few steps towards me and his eyes flicks downwards. I glance towards my chest and see him ogling the pendant he gifted me on my 13th birthday. He touches the pendant and rubs his thumb over it, his hand slightly brushing over my exposed collarbone. "You still wear it" he says more to himself than me. "Why do you still wear it, Grace? I thought you hated me" he whispers, pain and concern dripping his voice. Tears starts pooling my eyes but I quickly compose myself and say "Well unlike you I like to hold on to the things my loved one gave me once. And as a matter of fact, I don't hate you. I hate what you did, Atlas." I pause and look up to see him but I can't figure out what emotions are hidden behind those eyes. "And I'll never forgive you for it, never. Not after how you turned your back on me and left me humiliated, that day." I finish and see him wanting to say something but cutting himself off. I take few steps towards him and face him and grit out the words from before "Not after that day!"
