Description
It's been three months since the events of The Honouring Day, and Ignolia is still mourning the sudden disappearance of their powerful rulers. Lydia finds herself in Ellesmere; the capital of the Congress. Her days are spent accompanying ranked wizards in their unfruitful hunt for any traces or whispers of the missing rulers. But with each unsuccessful mission, Lydia only grows more frustrated, believing she won't ever find them. And the longer she's away from her king, the more she feels the aching longing she doesn't allow herself to think of. With her powers finally erupting, only to come at a terrible price, Lydia only wants one thing; to find King Gabriel and the rest of their majesties so she could fulfill her promise to the princess. But when one whisper leads her to a place long forgotten, she learns that things were far worse than she or anyone had imagined. Lydia's true destiny is revealed, and it might be one that completely breaks her.
