Chapter One: "Cinder-Soot"

Matthew had the perfect life, until it was all taken away. Leaving him with a wicked stepfather and his two daughters. He's trying to be happy and content with his life, but he can't help wanting a taste of something more. Right now though, all he has is his books... until he decides to change that. Giving himself three midnights to enjoy the King's three day Royal celebration to find his son a wife. However, one clever disguise might just ruin everything.
