Pamela Brady is a 14 year old girl, that gets separated from her class, while on a field trip in a Pennsylvania state park. Her teacher Mrs. Watson made it clear that everyone stay together as a group. Not paying attention, she goes the wrong way, on the walking trail, which leads her to the wilderness, where bears, snakes, deer, and other wildlife thrive. She cannot find her way out. She must find her way out of the wilderness, and come back home. But for now, she has to survive the elements, by looking for discarded food, and keeping herself safe from impending storms.

Will Pamela ever return to civilization, or is she doomed to spend the rest of her time in the wilderness?
