Description

Indigo Forrest has always found her name a little ironic--mostly because she can't even see the colours that make it up. Diagnosed with Achromatopsia (a rare eye condition that makes her see the world in black and white), Indi spent most of her childhood being homeschooled. But with her hands on a set of contacts that make her disability less evident and with the rise of teachers actually differentiating for special needs in classrooms, Indi's parents decide it's time she starts trying to mingle with people her age again so that she can experience her final years of school like any other normal teen. Though Indi's world is quickly turned upside down in ways she wasn't expecting. When renown school delinquent Harley Brooks asks Indi to borrow a pen, the last thing she expects when she turns around to give it to him is a person in full colour. The pair's connection is quick to blossom as Indi embarks on a journey to find out why, of all people in the world over her sixteen years on earth, this boy is the first person to add a touch of colour to her life. A Touch of Colour is a coming-of-age story about friendship, love, determination, disability, and heartache.
