Eighty percent of the entire world's population are born with some type of special ability. They are called quirks. Many of those with quirks devote their lives to saving others. With heroism becoming an attainable profession it is only natural that children all over the world are trying to become heroes. After all, it promises fame, fortune and prosperity. To Kanashii Makoto however becoming a hero never was a goal, it was nothing but an order. Her whole life she had been working for one of the underground's most feared scientists in quirk studies known under the alias: The Creator. Kanashii was trained by the Creator to become the ultimate weapon against Pro Heroes. So it comes to no surprise to her when she is ordered to infiltrate the hero course of UA High School, the best school in Japan for heroes in training. Kanashii was taught her whole life that the Pro Heroes were the ones in the wrong.
