After Avey's mother leaves her father she enrolls both her children in a new school. Avey expects it to be difficult, until she meets Alex. He's been where Avey is now, with an abusive father out for revenge and a heart that doesn't know if it's safe to love. Will Avey follow her heart? Or will she live in fear?
