Prologue

A suspicious disaster strands several teenagers midway through their ocean cruise. What initially appears to be an uninhabited island turns out to be occupied by something far worse than humans: a dictatorial civilization of creatures from another world, ruled by the self-proclaimed "god of nothing" Timore. Their lives are spared when it's revealed that Timore's heir is among them and must ascend to the throne soon. Facing enslavement, the others must flee and fight in a journey that will take them across the island's breadth and face-to-face with its terrors. They have no help in this remote place-except for one mysterious girl who has somehow made the island her home.
