Phoenix Overland, a wizard from the 12th century Camelot who lost her memory during a battle. For almost a millennium, she stayed asleep in a cave until found by spelunkers in the 21st century, 2016, where she was brought into a hospital in Arcadia Oaks.

Through this tetralogy, she joins Jim in his trollhunting life and befriends two new students who have traveled here from another planet.
