But if you were to pluck one and take it out of Khaenri'ah, the petals would stop growing and turn hard. Only when it finally returned to its home soil would the petals grow soft once more, and finally turn to dust... So, the Inteyvat is a symbol for a wanderer far from home, signifying the tenderness of the homeland." --- "Miss Lumine, why did you left all of a sudden? We're supposed to stick together as a team, right?" asked a man, whilst kneeling in front of the lady. Her gaze towards him was pretty emotionless, he could tell that there is something off with her, "Mister Dainsleif, I apologize, we-" Dainsleif then cut her off, hugging her really tight. "I'm all yours, m'lady. Tell me what's going on, please. I'll try to patch things up and make it up to you," he's on the verge of crying, but somehow, he managed to control his negative emotions. She draws her dull blade sword, pointing at his neck. Her bright golden eyes that he used to stare at before were now dull and lifeless, her expression became cold, and her expressions are unreadable, unlike the Lumine that he once knew before. "Mister Dainsleif, we are meant to be... enemies," her voice became unrecognizable... low, distorted, and a bit eerie. That's when Dainsleif realized ONE thing.
