Description
Melody is the story of a young teen girl who struggles with autism and mutism. She can speak sometimes but it's not easy. Life is hard for Melody, she is the black sheep of her family. Since her mother found out she had autism was the day she disgraced young Melody, her siblings aren't any better & her dad maybe sticks up for her every once in a while, but he's no better then her mother. Melody struggles making friendships, dating is out of the question.."who would want to be with me? I'm too stupid to be loved". As Melody becomes a teenager she starts dealing with depression, her parents don't really believe she has it, boy are they wrong. "Why me?" Is a Memoir about a Young 16 year old lady living in CT USA, "Often I wonder how I made it this far, with no support and encouragement that is." - M All names are altered for sake of privacy.
