Prologue

Naruto, bloody and broken, brings Sasuke back to the village unconscious. Instantly, he's banished for "injuring" the "last loyal Uchiha".

He flees, carrying with him a secret that would shock the village.

Years later, he returns to the village for the Chūnin exams, only he isn't participating.

Where did he go during his time away? Who are the strangers with him? Why is he claiming to be a Kage of a destroyed village?
