Description
Under investigation for drug corruption, the South-American monarchy of Vicasia and the Velázquez royal family is in danger and younger prince Amadeus takes refuge in the United States for safety. Years later, Amadeus attends Langston High, one of the richest, most-resourced private schools in the nation, and he's running for Student Body President- against his ex-best friend. The problem is that Langston has a notoriously irritable gossip mill and Amadeus has to do much more than he expected to prove to the people that he's right for the job. As he fights Camille, his opponent, the biggest rumor of all hits the halls: he's secretly sleeping with her brother, Luke, whom he also deeply dislikes. Of course this is ridiculous, but with Luke wanting a way to end his sister's control over his life and Amadeus needing a win over this rumor, they decide the best course of action is to use it to both their advantages- get over their rivalry (at least in public) and start fake-dating for the cameras. What better way to throw off Camille's endgame? As the election creeps closer, Amadeus finds himself deep in this damage control scheme with Luke which quickly evolves into a secret, real relationship that could derail the entire campaign and upend his entire motivation for becoming President. This is the story of his mind, navigating his disdain for society and his attempts to better it, while learning that ignoring your past may harm everything you've worked for. --- For mature audiences.
