A 1000 word short story set in 1748 at the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in London. This was for the Harlequin boards Writing Challenge for Auld Lang Syne. Words to include - heart, extinguish, reflect. It should be noted that New Years Day in 1748 England was 25th March known as Lady Day.
