A story of a scared woman meeting an angry man. ----------------------------- "Why a-are you doing all o-of this?" I blurted out, causing him to halt again, his hand on the doorknob. "Why d-do th-this for me?" It was the question that I never seemed to get an answer to. Why did he have such an interest in me? Why save the scared girl time and time again, the very girl who can't even properly look him in the eyes or make a fluid sentence? He faced me again and frowned deeper, his eyes searching my face, as if the answer was stamped there. He stood tall, his grip on the doorknob causing the tendons in his tatted up arm to stand out. "I...I don't know, to be honest," he muttered, a rasp lacing his words along with confusion. "I am not one to do anything like this. I've never been a nice guy."
