Genesis

Alaina lives in a world ruled by the drive to be different. DNA of many creatures can be purchased, or faked, in order to gain powers that would put you above the rest. An ex-addict, she takes up a quest to travel the unknown parts of her world to harvest every creature, but obstacles and people along the way will test her ability to empathise, her will to carry on, and her struggle with the attraction of drugs. Will she collect all twelve blessings? Or will she become the human lab rat she has feared?
