Chapter One: An Old Story

Aja Greenwood is your average 16 year old girl. Goes to high school, maybe sometimes falls asleep during class, pulling all nighters to finish homework. But what will happen when her grandmother's old book, full of her ancestor's stories, takes a mind of its own and sucks Aja and her best friend Douxie inside of it?
Aja and Douxie have always been together, but now there are maelstroms, evil queens, terrible battles, pirates, and suspicious gingerbread men to keep them apart- will they make it out alive?
