Description
Katherine Smalls was twelve when she moved to San Fernando Valley with her father, stepmother, and younger stepbrother. She didn't like that she moved to a new town during the summer because she promised her best friends from her old school that she would come back to attend 7th grade with them. However, she reassured her parents that she would try her best to befriend the neighborhood kids that lived around her new home. Even though the new town seemed smaller than her old town, what grabbed Katherine's attention was seeing a local sandlot where children played baseball. Growing up with a father that loves baseball so much, Katherine grew up knowing everything about the sport and learning how to play the sport. So, on her first day in the new town, she and her younger stepbrother, Scotty Smalls, has decided to befriend the neighborhood children by playing baseball with them at the Sandlot.
