shoyo hinata and tobio kageyama were normal middle school boys. hinata who say a ad of the little giant on TV as he went to school new he wanted to be a volleyball player. when he met his mortal enemy at his first and last real volleyball game of middle school. when the met again in high school, it was in a gym yet again; they had both joined the team in order to become professional volleyball players in the future. unannounced to them, they would fall in love with each other. hinata is also depressed, it shows more in some chapters then others :)
