Emily Prentiss is the current unit chief of the BAU, they have some money in the budget and she decides to hire another agent to strengthen the team. After having several meetings with people she decides on Allison Thompson, an agent from the Science and technology department. Allison will be a good asset to the team, adding some more science knowledge.
