Lara Soutin was only 25 years old when her husband of three years was brutally murdered in their home. Ignoring the help and advice of her family, she remains in the house, finding solace in her writing and teaching freshman English. Two years after her husband's death, Lara meets Devin Hill, the new math teacher at her school but is he really who he says he is or has her delusions prevented her from noticing that her past has finally caught up to her.
