Description
After the destruction of what was once considered the United Kingdom, a group of witches known as the Draconian coven created a parallel world known as Dark Haven, where they work alongside vampires. While humans are enslaved and at the mercy of these dark creatures, an annual event known as The Stag Hunt takes place, in order to keep the world intact. Each year, a maiden shall be chosen from each cardinal sector and present herself in a game where she is the prey, and vampires, to appease their Dark Mother, are the predators. Circe Fletcher, a sixteen-year-old girl is terrified at the thought of being chosen for this vicious game, at which she knows she has no chance of winning. However, she has the advantage of a foreign power, even amongst witches, that changes based on the phases of the moon. Could she actually have a shot at winning the Hunt and be crowned Queen of the Southern Isles? Or will dark forces discover her power and she be put on trial for treason?
