George knows the legends about the swamp near his house-that people have fallen into sinkholes, never to be seen again. He tells himself never to go near it but when his best friends drag him to the uneven ground anyways, George knows to be worried. And when the earth opens under his feet, there isn't even time to say I told you so. As he scrambles through one cave, which leads to another, and another, George finds himself in an impossible world-where a group of people survive underground, creating their own society. Will George risk everything to get out or will he meet the love of his life and never want to leave?
