~Prologue~

"Vigilance!" Civil exclaimed. Vigilance groaned irritably as he got up, padding out of the den. He skipped down to the area where he heard his mother's voice from. He poked his head in to see his mother, scowling.

"Ready for your lesson?"

Vigilance was a good kit. Never misbehaved, always listened. But when his cruel mother sends him on a journey to find loads of prey, he finds himself in clan territory, right where his destiny awaited.
