Being the son of a heartless man is impossible. Literally. Charon goes to the mortal world one day to buy a new leather jacket and to check on his mortal lover Sally only to see her dying and laying next to a crying baby boy. His baby boy.

Him being an underworld deity is able to sense Sally's life force and she is inevitably going to die. She pleads with him to take their son. Charon takes the baby boy, tears coming out of his eyes for the only mortal he had ever loved. "What's his name?" Charon asks his dying lover.

"Perseus Jackson," She said as she took her final breath
