7 days a week, 365 days a year, the Midland Long Seva Society (MLSS) organizes a 'soup kitchen' consisting of a variety of hot foods and beverages distributed to the less fortunate, which includes the charity side of the Sikh religion. The charity is based on the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who introduced the idea of ​​"longing" more than 500 years ago. Langar means "free kitchen" for everyone, regardless of gender, class, religion or social status.
