Ch. 1 - Welcome to America

A Spanish-American 20 year old comes to America with her parents to consult with experts on why she keeps getting sick. It turns out she has a rare autoimmune disease due to complications while in the womb. There is no cure and her symptoms are aggressively worsening so the specialist is recommending her to a drug trial.

Feeling despondent and overwhelmed by everything she has learnt, Gabriela packs a bag and catches the next flight to New York. Its time to explore the magical city before her life becomes a never ending cycle of hospital stays and medication.
