I roll over, pulling the pillow over my ear to make the ringing go away. It doesn't stop. Giving up, I open my eyes with a groan, taking note of where I am. I sit up slowly, taking the IV out of my arm and letting it drop to the floor. I pull on the hospital gown and then my hair, racking my brain to try to figure out why I'm here. Think River, think. What happened? Where were we last? Where is everyone? I come up with nothing, my mind completely blank.
