Chapter one

The exhilaration blew me off my feet. My heart banged like a sledge hammer. The leaves seemed to recoil out of my way as I raced through the jungle. However, it was indeed too late. The breeze caught up. I'm afraid this is the end, goodbye.
"If only that were true, sweetheart," the cold voice echoed as smooth and velvety as chocolate. "This is only the beginning..."
