Description
Life is hard and prey is scarce. Only the strong survive, and some are willing to do anything to keep themselves alive. The forested mountainous region of Washington State is unforgiving at best. During the winter, freezing snow covers everything and falls relentlessly, most prey is hibernating, and the rivers freeze over. However, when the snow melts, prey emerges from their burrows, the rivers flood, and battles begin anew as the winter starved cats scrabble for replenished resources that come with the summer rains. Fragile alliances are tested as the colonies face threats both old and new. Now even their own homes are vulnerable from the shadow of the Snowfall Place and their vicious plots, swayed puppets, and evil code breakers. They won't rest until the cats of the colonies have paid for their support of the Sunshine Place. Traitors run rampant within the colonies. No one is safe. It is up to the new apprentices, the future of the colonies, to save them all.
