Description
"Spit" is based in the time period of 1844 and is about a 24 year old woman named Amuche (AH-MOO-CHE) who lives in West Africa. Amuche is living a good life until when her and most of her kind are shipped to America to "sick pale people." Amuche's life quickly spirals out of control when she is forced to do horrible things in order to survive ; like work constantly in and out of the fields, take care of the Master's granddaughter and be the Master's son's play toy. Wyatt Wilson a White carpenter is visiting his family on their plantation. He soon becomes drawn to Amuche / Spit. She is afraid so she doesnt let him in until he saves her at one point. Amuche lets her guard down for Wyatt just a little. He soon secretly teaches her English and how to read and write so they can communicate with out using body language. They become extremely close in which she soon falls for him. Their relationship is kept a secret,but not for long and when it releases Hell will rain even more forcing Amuche and their newborn baby to find freedom. This story will take you on the experience of the pain, suffer, heartbreak, hate, violence and loneliness. It will also take you on the path of Amuche letting her guard down and loving someone of a different race.
